Yusufi Vali is the Executive Director of the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center (ISBCC), which serves over 1400 congregants and is the largest Islamic institution in New England. At the ISBCC, his primary role is to work with Senior Imam Shaykh Yasir Fahmy and the board to set the institution’s vision, strategy, and oversee its administration. Before joining ISBCC, Mr. Vali was a community organizer at the Greater Boston Interfaith Organization. In 2005, Mr. Vali was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to Syria where he researched local efforts for interfaith dialogue. A winner of the Marshall scholarship, he has an MSc in Philosophy from the London School of Economics, an MA in Islamic Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, and a BA in Near Eastern Studies from Princeton University.
